Squirrel Pox and Adenovirus
There have been confirmed cases of both squirrel pox and adenovirus in our County.
The pox has been identified in one dead squirrel found within Humford Woods between Bedlington and New Hartley.
There have been six confirmed dead in New Hartley. The first two have been confirmed as having adenovius.
Please be extra vigilant.
If you live in an area with both reds and greys it may be sensible to stop feeding.
If in a red area, please take extra care by maintaining high cleaning standards.
Use Virkon regularly to disinfect your feeders.
